Historical overview

The Islamic Charitable Association of Deir Atiyah

The association was founded at the beginning of the twentieth century by the late distinguished scholar Sheikh Abdul Qader Al-Qassab, coinciding with the establishment and construction of the Sharia School, which was later named after him.

From its earliest days, the association’s mission was to support students pursuing religious knowledge and to care for the poor and needy by standing alongside them and helping alleviate their hardships.

The association was officially registered with the relevant authorities in 1938 and was formally recognized under registration number 332 in 1960, making it one of the earliest and oldest charitable associations in the country.
